Rich Agnello is the 2026 Catholic Media Association Book Awards First Place Faith-Based Novel awardee and past ScreenCraft Cinematic Prose Quarterfinalist (Jojay and the Joy of Anyway), 2026 American Fiction Awards Sports Fiction Finalist and 2025 Author Shout Book Awards Honorable Mention listee (Adoring Andy), 2023 American Fiction Awards Sports Fiction Finalist (Going to Williamsport), 2022 ScreenCraft Short Story Film Adaptation Semifinalist (What Do I Do With Dewey?), and past Catholic Literary Arts monthly featured writer, who has also online published in the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Arts and Sciences (Where Did You Go, Olivia Uvalde?).

Rich's primary genres are Lay Catholic Theology and Virtue-Based Children's Writing (VBC). He has written six books that also include the lay theology guides A Tenth Station Confession, Our Marian Pulpit: From a Lector's Soul House, and Imitate, Contain, Obtain, Promise:  Our Ultimate Rosary Destiny.  His feature editorials and letters to the editor have been featured in eleven newsletters across six states.

Agnello is a native of Webster, New York east of Rochester, and a graduate of Marquette University (BA Speech cum laude) and the University of Denver (MPA Public Administration). He has also achieved the PMP, ITIL, CTAL-TM, and CTFL certifications during his combined career with HP/EDS and the Federal Government.

Rich is retired and is a longtime resident of Worthington, Ohio north of Columbus with his wife of over twenty-five years Theresa (Cecil) Agnello.
